“ Came in for a birthday dinner on a Wednesday night and got a little nervous when we saw how empty the restaurant was. But boy were we surprised! Beautiful restaurant with lazy Susan's and raised tables to share food and an amazing array of tapas. We had the ahi tuna, quesabirria, flautas, chicken chilaquiles and the mint chicken skewers. For me the quesabirria was a stand out, but the rest of our party loved the flautas. Started with the queso and they were able to accommodate leaving our chorizo. The servers were very fun and even offered us the choice of a tequila shot or churros for a birthday treat! Choose the churros this time and they were spectacular, filled with a Dulce de leche. This spot deserves more hype! ”

“ Sol y Luna is always a restaurant I pick during Birmingham Restaurant Week. Today, I'm trying the Gin Colada, which has London dry gin, coconut puree , pineapple juice, cranberry juice, and orange bitters. For my first course, I chose the Sol y Luna Sampler, second course Puntas Puerco, and for dessert churros. They were a little busy, so the service was a little slow because they had a tequila tasting event going on. I will have to look into that next time, and it was Bham restaurant week. ”
